POSH VEILS photo shoot with Ishpho

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to work once again with Ishmil Waterman (Ishpho Creative Beauty) on a photo shoot for a Toronto-based company that designs bridal head pieces and veils. I had such an amazing time! the whole team (photographer, styler & hair styler) connects and works really well together, it's just a pleasure working with them.

When the designer came and took out the head pieces it was kind of hard for me to see the real art behind them but seeing the finished product on a model with makeup and hair done, I really couldn't believe it! every single piece looked stunning; it was very important that I communicated and connected well with the designer so that I could deliver a look that would please her, and after doing some research on bridal makeup for 2011 and talking to the designer, we decided that going for a simple romantic look was our best bet.
So the makeup was simple, rose-y cheeks paired with a lipstick that was just a few shades darker than the model's natural lip colour and very natural looking eyes; I went for a light coral wash of colour over the lid and a satin off-white colour for the brow bone and inner corner areas; a lightly-applied brown pencil liner on the lower lash line and a smudged super thin black line for the upper lash line just to serve as a base for the individual eye lashes I used. I also used a very light highlight on the cheek bones and that was it!
There was only one makeup look so I just reapplied lipstick or powder when necessary and then saw the model work her magic.
It was so much fun working with everyone involved in this photo shoot and I really hope to work with them again soon.
I hope you enjoyed reading this blogpost as much as I enjoyed writing it for you.

PS. don't forget to check out POSH VEIL's website and webshop to see the rest of the pictures ;)
